November 27. This is the final deadline to participate in the ‘Bologna si mette in gioco – Playable Bologna’ contest launched by the Bologna Municipality: develop a videogame that talks about Bologna and promotes it through its heritage and monuments.
The contest is open to companies and professionals from any EU member states and participation requires registering to the MEPA – the Public Administration’s Electronic Market.
The developers will be challenged to promote and focus on the city starting from some story ideas offered by the Museo Civico Medievale and the Museo di Palazzo Poggi, from the objects in the amazing collections of three key figures of Bologna’s history: the naturalist Ulisse Aldrovandi, the wonders collector Ferdinando Cospi and the founder of the Institute of Sciences Luigi Ferdinando Marsili. The goal is inviting students, tourists and citizens to enjoy and re-discover Bologna and its history – and have fun doing so!
The overall amount of funds is Euro 32.786,88 (plus VAT) and the videogame shall be delivered, running and ready for on-line play no later than December 31, 2019.
The contest is co-funded by the Bologna Municipality and the Emilia Romagna Regional Administration through INCREDIBOL! – l’INnovazione CREativa DI BOLogna, the project that supports the development of newly established cultural professions and enterprises, as well as by the Horizon 2020 EU research and innovation programme and via the ROCK (ROCK Regeneration and Optimisation of Cultural heritage in creative and Knowledge cities) project whose aim is to support regeneration of old city centres through cultural heritage as a driver for sustainable development and economic growth.
