IVIPRO at the CIVIS Conference in Málaga

On November 18th and 19th, we will fly to Spain, to Málaga, to take part in the “Conferencia Internacional sobre Videojuegos e Impacto Social” (CIVIS), a two-day event dedicated to video games and their cultural impact, and the power of games to transform our society.

We are partnering in this initiative alongside other prestigious European organizations, and we are curating the section titled Territorio, Historia y Tradiciones.

Among the guests in this section are:

  • Florent Maurin from The Pixel Hunt (Rethinking our position as creators: lessons learned from Inua),
  • Claudia Molinari from We Are Müesli (From heritage to games: We Are Müesli’s approach to ‘applied games’), and
  • Clio Montrey from Microbird Games (Dungeons of Hinterberg: a magic lens for practical issues).

Alongside these three lectures, there will also be two in-depth round tables:

  • one dedicated to Spanish-made video games focused on folklore and local history (featuring Locomalito and Novelingo), and
  • another centered on video games, education, and cultural heritage (with IVIPRO and Didpatri).

The event, promoted by Video Games Without Borders, is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
