During the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, AESVI and Italian Film Commissions signed a partnership aimed at fostering the national videogame industry and supporting the promotion of Italy’s historical, artistic and scenic heritage.
IVIPRO is the first venture established within this partnership. A second project is already underway and will be launched in 2017 through a public tender for the funding of a videogame that explores the topic of hydrogeological instability on the fiftieth anniversary of the Florence Flood. This experimental project will be supported by the Agency for Territorial Cohesion through the Cinema section of the Sensi Contemporanei program, in partnership with the Region of Tuscany and the Municipality of Florence.
