Italyformovies.it opens a new videogame section

Italy for Movies has just become even richer: the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism’s recently-launched national portal for locations and movie production incentives, created by Istituto Luce Cinecittà in collaboration with the Italian Film Commissions Association, now boasts a database of videogames set in Italy.

The website’s “Film & Game Map” tool allows users to explore Italy by searching not only among the locations chosen by movie directors, but also among the places and stories that inspired national and international game developers.

The database is being compiled in collaboration with IVIPRO and already features 100 titles. Italy for Movies will also offer regular updates and news on the relationship between videogames, culture, and tourism.
